PRAYER

Without prayer, embarking on this missionary endeavor would be an impossibility. For that reason, we have divided our supporters into seven different prayer teams, one for each day of the week:

Sunday: Pray for our relationship with God—that we would continuously submit ourselves to His will; that we would have a passion to worship God and study the Bible, and that we trust completely in God’s provision and power.

Monday: Pray for our physical needs: for our general health and financial support, and for strength and safety in our work, both in healthcare ministry and homeschooling the children.

Tuesday: Pray for our relationships with others: that we would be humble and open in our relationships, that we would appreciate and not take for granted any and all gifts given and deeds done for us.

Wednesday: Pray for effective ministry: that we would be emptied of ourselves and any selfish ambitions or desires and that the Holy Spirit would fill us up and complete His work through us.

Thursday: Pray for our family life: that we will continue to have a healthy marriage, that we not feel lonely or isolated; that we would be sensitive to the needs of each other and our children; that our family would thrive in serving Christ full-time.

Friday: Pray for our children: that they remain secure, well adjusted, and healthy through all the changes in their lives, that they draw close to God, and for protection from Satan.

Saturday: Pray for our spiritual life: that we would enjoy Christ’s presence, that we would be convicted of and willing to repent of our sins, and that we would be sensitive to and submissive to the Holy Spirit’s leading.

FINANCIAL

As with most independent mission agencies, the missionaries with BMDMI are responsible for raising all of the money needed for their ministry and living expenses. Unlike many mission agencies, however, all (100%) of the money given to BMDMI to support us goes directly to our ministry. In other words, BMDMI raises its own support for administrative costs rather than withholding a percentage of the missionaries’ support as many agencies do.

The majority of the money that allows us to serve God in Honduras comes from individuals who are lead by God to contribute monthly, quarterly, or yearly. We consider these individuals and families, as well as some churches, to be our partners in this ministry. It is extremely humbling to be the recipients of others’ offerings to God in order that His kingdom be advanced. We take the responsibility that others have bestowed on us in the form of financial donations very seriously, and pledge to our partners to use their money prayerfully and wisely in our ministry.
